Envoyez les sœurs Golde au collège! Demande de bourse!
Hello, world!
We are Sam and Ann, two Russian sisters, 27 and 32 years old, bound by a deep, loving connection. We speak only English between us as we navigate life together, sharing a unique sisterly bond.

We left Russia long ago because we could not support the government's actions, particularly the war against Ukraine. Our journey took us through Georgia, Turkey, and Sri Lanka, living as digital nomads with no certainty about what the next day would bring. This year, France has provided us with a much-needed opportunity for stability—visas for artists in exile. We live as workawayers in a small beautiful French village and repair the house for roof and food.
This year, we were both accepted to the International People’s College in Denmark (https://ipc.dk) for the winter/spring semester of 2025. This is more than an educational opportunity; it is a pivotal moment in our lives, offering us the direction and hope for a better future.
About Sam:
Sam is a social warrior at heart, deeply committed to addressing social injustices. As a gender-fluid lesbian, her very identity is criminalized in Russia. She has faced bullying and discrimination throughout her life for being autistic and different. Now, she remains steadfast in her heart’s mission to promote inclusivity and make a positive impact on the world. The college represents a chance for Sam to expand her understanding of global issues, connect with diverse people, and develop a project that nurtures inclusivity. She is one of the kindest, strongest, and most talented people I know—her poetry touches hearts, her cooking brings comfort every day, and her humility inspires. Sam truly deserves this opportunity, and I believe she has the power to create meaningful change.
About Me:
I, Ann, am a warrior on a more personal level. I believe that true change begins within each of us. When we align our values, take responsibility for our actions, and work through personal traumas and biases, we can then influence the world around us. I am an advocate for psychotherapy, creativity, self-awareness, compassion, and personal growth. My journey has been one of breaking free from generational trauma and societal expectations, forging a path where my heart leads and my mind supports with perseverance, intelligence, and patience.
Why We Need Your Help:
Together, we form a complementary team, and the college in Denmark offers us the perfect environment to channel our strengths and passions. However, the financial burden is beyond our reach. Our family has always struggled financially—our mother works tirelessly, but €12,000 is an unattainable sum. Sam and I have our own projects, but our income is unpredictable and often insufficient. The challenges of recent years—immigration, sanctions, complex migration policies, and our neurodivergence—have made it difficult to save anything beyond the necessities of daily life. Yet, thanks to the kindness of those we’ve met along the way, we have managed to persevere and grow.
Now, we find ourselves in need once more, asking for help to fund our education at this college. This is a crucial opportunity for us, and we seek financial support in the form of a long-term loan or sponsorship, if possible. We have only until October 1, 2024, to secure the funds, and we are truly in desperate need of assistance.
Our Promise:
We are both diligent and hardworking. Sam holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and taught herself animation, eventually working for one of the top cartoon studios in Russia. I taught myself graphic design, illustration, and team leadership, and built a successful career until I chose to follow my heart: now, I create illustrations for complex educational content. At the college, we will commit ourselves fully, making the most of this incredible opportunity.
Below you will find the program we envisioned for ourselves in the college. If you are willing to help, please, contact me by e-mail.
